Savitha Rao is a woman of many talents. She is a Primary Patent examiner, Pharmacology, at the United States patent and trademark office.
She is a potter / ceramic artist and has her own YouTube cooking channel. She is also a saree enthusiast and if this wasn’t enough, Savitha is a comedienne-in-the-making and has a hilarious insta page!
Savitha was gifted this shoot as a milestone birthday gift from her husband and son. “I was contemplating it but they made it happen and I’m very thankful that they understand me because this is such a what may seem like a frivolous, self-indulging thing but it just makes me so happy! And that’s what it is all about. ” Savitha told us fondly.
Savitha’s advice to young women who are entering the field of Science and STEM today is, “Always realize that the knowledge you gain when you go through a technical or scientific educational system is going to last you forever and that gives you a lot of analytical, practical and creative thinking process. As much as you think those are different, they do all come together.”
She believes that one can diversify even though you are a science based person.

The best part was the outdoor shoot with this beautiful outfit. I felt like a princess. I was just jumping around.”
