Dhruti Thaker is EHS Project Manager at International Safety Systems, Inc. and is an Environmental Engineer. She started out wanting to be an Electronics or a Computer engineer but ended up being an Environmental Engineer and they are two ends of the spectrum but retrospectively she realizes she would have been a horrible Computer Engineer because she’s so averse to technology and she’s so passionate about helping people and making a difference that where she is today is the ideal field for her.
Dhruti says, “Keep on going. Don’t get upset because you didn’t get something. When one door closes, the other opens because that’s how I got into where I am.”
Her advice to young women who are entering the field of Science and STEM today is, “Keep on going strong, keep on working hard. Don’t let others tell you where you can and cannot go. Let your inner self guide you. You’ll get there. Enjoy the moment. It’s going to be hard work but it’s worth it.”

About her experience with kapuPatel Photography, Dhruti says, “It helps re-engage in yourself. It’s an indulgence which we as women, for the most part, don’t do for ourselves and this is an extremely appropriate experience on that because you not only get to be treated as a diva but also get to see a reflection of yourself with the great pictures and that would reinforce your confidence and boost your ability to shine and do the right thing out there.”
