“Being Yourself Can Get You Ahead!” - Gianna Bigliani’s Woman Of Science / STEM portrait session

“In my field of outpatient, orthopedic physical therapy there are mostly men, and I think just because you are a woman doesn’t mean you don’t have the strength.” – Dr. Gianna Bigliani

Portrait that tells a story of strength and embodies empowerment, showcasing inner beauty.

Dr Gianna Bigliani is the founder and visionary behind Fluid Physio Physical Therapy, that takes you from pain to performance and provides a holistic approach that helps people achieve unrestricted movement, improve performance and live life to the fullest.

Gianna was one of the 20 women who were a part of kapuPatel Photography’s Woman Of Science / STEM campaign.

“I think one of the things that I wanted to show other people is that you can have the strength of outpatient, orthopedic sports medicine and yet still have the kindness and acceptance of anybody, but the other part is to show a certain softness to the orthopedics aspect of it and show myself that I can look as strong as I feel on the inside.” - Gianna on one of the reasons why she wanted to be a part of this campaign.

Capturing Gianna’s story with a portrait that reflects her true self. Empowerment through photography starts here.

Gianna’s photo shoot was done in our studio in West Windsor, New Jersey. Her advice to young women who are entering the field of Science and STEM today is, “I want to encourage them to be who they are. They don’t have to bring in the toughness that the field itself has. They are perfectly fine bringing their softness and their playfulness. ”

“As a Scientist turned Photographer, I understand how it feels to have your unique traits and talents sidelined by your professional titles.

Women in science also have a creative side, a spiritual side, a quirky side and a sensual side and all these unique facets of our personality complete us. This bespoke transformational portrait experience is designed to celebrate all these facets that extend beyond your white coats, your labs, your coding and software where you can be authentically your truest self.

Maybe you are a dancer, a musician, a fencer, an artist, a handbag collector, a romance novel writer….come celebrate yourself.” - Kapu Patel
