The Front Porch Project - Together In Social Distance
This project is now closed. Thank you for your participation.
In these times of social distancing, let us find connection and lift each other up. Our front doors maybe closed but our hearts are open. We are #strongertogether.
Through The Front Porch Project, we want to send a message of positivity and most importantly, create awareness of the current homelessness crisis. The homelessness crisis is even more relevant today than ever before. HomeFront is currently seeking donations to help with rent assistance. If this project inspires you and these stories speak to you then consider a donation towards HomeFront. Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps.
If you are checking this as of March 30th, we are completely overwhelmed with response and will get back to you as soon as we can…please be patient. Please fill out the form below with details as to how your story can uplift other folks. Thank you.
IT IS TOUGH…THIS TOO SHALL PASS…
The enemy we are fighting is an invisible one and the tools at our disposal are our determination, grit and love. Just love. Pure love. Love in the times of this world pandemic. Love in the times of the Coronavirus. In our lifetime we have survived the Great Depression, horrific World Wars, 9/11 and countless natural calamities and disasters.
Through this project we seek your help to spread the message of love, calm and unity in these trying times.
How will it be done?
At a pre-determined time we (two of us) will arrive in front of your house and photograph you on your front porch. Don’t worry, I will be guiding you before and during the session. We will spend about 5-10 mins in front of your house. You (and / or members in your current house only) will be in front of your house/porch. I will be by the curbside, at a safe distance, be assured. Together we will show connection between your loved ones and with the world.
What’s the catch?
This is a documentary project aimed to uplift people. There is no catch! There is no charge to you. But before photographing you, we do need you to sign a release that permits us to share your story and portraits online and print; similar to Humans of New York.
Who could be in this project?
It could be your family, your pets, you, anyone.
The towns (and surrounding areas) we aim to cover :
We realize this is not a comprehensive list…lets just say this is a starting point 😁. West Windsor, Plainsboro, Princeton, Princeton Junction, Robbinsville, Allentown, Hamilton, Hopewell, Lawrenceville, Trenton, Lawrence Pennington, Ewing and many more. If you live further away and would still like to be a part of this project, please reach out to us and let us know.
