My muse is the world – the people, the places, the experiences.

Romita Rally is our Woman Business Owner of the month. She’s the founder and owner of Wandermust Journeys, a boutique travel agency. Romita says her favorite quote is - “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” by Lao Tzu. Her own business journey started out of a pure love for the world and the desire to see and experience as much of it as possible. In turn, she says, she wanted to bring that passion to others in creating incredible journeys for them.

Her mission is to create incredible destination-centered travel experiences where the natural beauty of a place and/or the culture of a destination are the focus. She specializes in luxury experiences that go beyond where you stay and how you get there; they are about how you experience a destination, where you feel amazed by just having the opportunity to have the experience.

We were so excited to do her Business Branding shoot. A business or a personal branding shoot is more than just your simple headshot. It is about showing your clients who you truly are, about conveying your brand through your portraits. More personality, more authenticity and more connection with your client.

1. What does beauty mean to you?

 Experiences that touch the soul in ways that sometimes you can’t put into words.  It could be something as simple as a beautiful gesture you observe or a pretty flower you happen to see or as complex as a piece of art that took so much for the artist to create. 

 2. What is your intrinsic style?

At times, I like simple and comfortable.  Other times, I like to be more sophisticated and polished.  Either way, I often like to add a little bit of interest, whether through color, pattern or interesting jewelry.

 3. Who is your inspiration or muse?  Who do you follow as your contemporaries?

My muse is the world – the people, the places, the experiences.  I am as passionate about going to an everyday market in Vietnam as standing in the middle of the ancient, Baroque, Renaissance and modern world all coming together in Rome as landing on a glacier in Alaska or as simply sitting by a beautiful lake.  Each experience inspires the next for me.

 4. What books, movies, music inspire you?

I don’t have one specific book, movie or piece of music that comes to mind immediately.  Overall, I am very inspired by creativity.  I love to witness and see the results of creative process.  I really enjoy live music.  I studied art history – I love to see art in different forms and understand the context for its creation.
